Just when you think you know a lot about specific subject – such as men’s titanium wedding bands – someone comes around and tells you a something you never thought of before. That’s the beauty of the Internet. Post a blog about a topic and, sure enough, you will attract the attention of industry experts with an impressive amount of knowledge. That’s what happened to me last month after I posted the article "Are Buyers of Men’s Titanium Wedding Bands Smarter, or Are They Just More Tech-Savvy?"
According to a representative from the Edward Mirell Company, a designer jewelry brand that makes cutting edge men’s rings from contemporary metals, men’s titanium wedding bands are even stronger than I thought. For example, legitimate titanium is impossible to resize because the metal is just too strong. Fortunately, if the ring becomes too small it is not nearly as expensive to replace as gold or platinum. Some retailers allow men’s titanium wedding bands to be exchanged for a larger size if it ever needs resizing.
Another interesting fact about men’s titanium wedding bands is how easy they are to maintain. Other metals may need to be buffed up professionally by a jeweler to have scratches removed, but Edward Mirell suggests using a Scotch-Brite pad. No, that was not a typo… It actually works! Just rub the pad gently in the same direction and any scratches will come right out. Then if you want to polish it a little more, just use some hand sanitizer on a cotton ball and it will be back to its natural brilliance.
There is no doubt that men’s titanium wedding bands are strong and easy to maintain, but men also choose a wedding ring for its good looks. Titanium has a grayer appearance than platinum, but it is still a very bright and dazzling jewelry metal. For a contemporary look, many men are choosing black titanium with a polished gray titanium overlay, or an all-black titanium ring for a striking silhouette. What’s nice about colored titanium is that it’s not covered in a coating that will wear off. The anodizing process can actually change the color of the metal into any tint, including brilliant greens and blues, but for men’s titanium wedding bands, black is the most common shade.
Titanium is scratch-resistant, easy to care for, extremely hard, and yet surprisingly lightweight. It is also hypoallergenic and relatively inexpensive. When customers learn about all the benefits of wearing
men’s titanium wedding bands, they are usually surprised that anyone still buys other metals. Choose a titanium band for your wedding, and it can be your "ring for life."
